All you need to know about REALTOR:
Conor MacEvilly
Hi, I am part Realtor, part amateur psychiatrist and part real estate educator of varying proportions. I will educate you, the home buyer or seller, on the critical information you need to make informed real estate decisions.
Throughout this website, I have attempted to show you both sides of the coin, the good and the not so good. The more information you, Mr. Buyer and you Mrs. Seller have, the better you will be prepared and the greater your control over the home buying / selling process and your ability to make the right decisions.
A brief history of Conor……..
- Born in Cork City, Ireland into the usual large Catholic family.
- After college moved to London, initially for 3 months. Seven years later left with a PhD in Biochemistry (definitely was not part of the master plan).
- Moved to the US in 1993 and continued to work in science until 2007 when I became a Seattle real estate agent.
- Previous career was as a Biochemist, failing to cure all major and minor diseases!
- Chased science jobs from California, through Oregon and up to Seattle. And that’s one reason why I’m not in Biotech anymore! I am definitely staying put in Seattle. It’s a beautiful place to live.
- Have been in Seattle since 2002 living in beautiful Ballard (I need to be near salt water even if I never actually jump in it).
- Pursuits include golf, hiking / camping, snowboarding, cross country skiing (badly), walking around Seattle neighborhoods, Ballard Toastmasters, trying to learn photography and of course the odd NW microbrew.
Why become a Seattle real estate broker?….I get to meet someone different most days of the week, escape my prior lab / cubicle life, whiz around the Puget Sound each day and get to work for myself. I really like Seattle residential architecture which has a great mixture of different styles. I genuinely wish I had become a real estate agent years ago. Seeing buyers get the keys to their new home in their hands or sellers able to move on to their next home always gives me a sense of satisfaction. A commission check is great, but a happy client is way better!
It goes without saying, but I would be honored to assist you with any of your real estate needs. If all you are looking for is some advice or looking to buy or sell a year or five years from now, no worries, feel free to contact me!
Irish proverb: Nil aon tintean mar do thintean fein! …..There’s no fireplace like your own fireplace!
